Aloe vera soothes the scalp during cleansing.  Burdock root provides amino acids, the building blocks of protein.  Elderflower seals in proteins and allows hair to be conditioned without feeling greasy.  Green tea lends its antioxidant properties to a healthy scalp, while lemon balm, rosemary and sage help cleanse hair and stimulate scalp with natural volatile oils.

Women in ancient Japan rinsed their hair with leftover green tea for its conditioning properties.  We've added a wealth of other herbs to treat the scalp and give hair added body, shine and manageability.

Aloe vera moisturizes hair, while burdock root provides essential fatty acids for shine and body.  Chamomile's volatile oils are well-known for softening the hair.  Comfrey contains allantoin, a protein valued for speeding cell renewal in rough, damaged skin or troubled scalp.  Parsley's abundant levels of vitamins, flavonoids and volatile oils make it an excellent scalp conditioner.

Orange flower water has been used since Victorian times in cleansing and rejuvenating potions for dry scalp and broken capillaries.  Oak bark contains natural tannins to seal the cutucle of the hair.  Roman chamomile and sandalwood help soften the hair and soothe sensitive scalp.  Even Watkins Vanilla Extract contributes more than just a delightful scent; vanilla beans are high in naturally-conditioning polysaccharieds.  This two-in-one conditioning shampoo is not on the best we've ever made; it just may be the best ever!
