Southeast Asian Pork Stew

2 pounds pork butt or loin, cut into 1-inch cubes

Watkins Garlic Peppercorn Blend, to taste

2 tbsp. Watkins Citrus & Cilantro (or) Black Pepper Grapeseed Oil

2 yellow onions, diced

2 tbsp. Watkins Ginger-Garlic Liquid Spice

2 tbsp. Watkins Hot Honey Soy Sauce

2 tbsp. Watkins Curry Powder

2 tbsp. Watkins Saigon Cinnamon

2 tbsp. brown sugar
-
3 tbsp. Watkins Chicken Soup Base

4 cups water

4 cups hot cooked rice
Season pork with freshly ground pepper blend, sauté in grapeseed oil until
browned. Add onions and liquid spice; sauté until onion is soft. Add remaining
ingredients except rice, simmer 1-1/2 hours. To serve, place a scoop of rice in
a bowl; ladle stew over rice. Serves 8

Chicken Calda

6 cups/1.5 L water

9 tbsp (or 1/2 cup plus 1 tbsp)/140 mL Watkins Chicken Soup Base

1 cup/250 mL red bell pepper, chopped

1 cup/250 mL green bell pepper, chopped

2 tbsp/30 mL Watkins Minced Green Onion
-
2 (15 oz/427g) cans garbanzo beans (chick peas)
-
2 (10 oz/285 g) cans white meat chicken (or 2-1/4 cups/550 mL cooked chicken)

1 tbsp/15 mL tomato paste
-
1 tsp/5 mL Watkins Calypso Hot Pepper Sauce or Watkins Jalapeño Hot Pepper Sauce

1 tsp/5 mL Watkins Onion Granules

1 tsp/5 mL Watkins Cumin

1/2 tsp/2.5 mL Watkins Red Pepper Flakes
Combine all ingredients in a stockpot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until bell peppers are tender, about
10-15 minutes.
Garnish with crushed tortilla chips and cheddar cheese if desired.
Makes 8 1-cup/250-mL servings.

Garlic Cheese Bread
Mix together the bread mix, garlic flakes and cheese. Poor beer into mixture and
stir just until moistened. Grease loaf pan with the cooking spray. Pour batter
into the greased loaf pan. Pour the melted butter on top of bread. Bake at 350 F for 1 hour or until toothpick inserted
into center of loaf comes out clean. Yield: 1 Loaf

Pineapple-Mango Bread

1 small can crushed pineapple, drained, juice reserved

Pineapple juice (additional; to total 12 fl oz/355 mL)

1 tsp/5 mL Watkins Mango Extract

1 package Watkins Good Tastings Bread Mix

Watkins Cooking Spray

1 tbsp/15 mL butter, melted
Add mango extract to the reserved pineapple juice. Combine bread mix with the pineapple juice and drained
pineapple. Spray loaf pan with cooking spray. Pour batter in the greased loaf pan. Pour the melted butter over top of
bread. Bake at 350°F/180°C for 50 minutes to 1 hour. Yield: 1 loaf
