QuestionWhat is the difference between ice cream, ice milk and frozen yogurt?
  • Ice Cream is made with cream, milk, sweetening and flavouring.  Ice cream contains at least 20% milk fat.
  • Ice Milk is made like ice cream but has milk fat content of 2 to 7%
  • Frozen Yogurt is yogurt with sugar and nonfat milk solids added.  It is similar in fat content to ice milk.
If a recipe calls for ice cream, you can substitute ice milk or frozen yogurt.  This will not affect how the recipe will turn out.
